EXPORTS GROWTH IN GUATEMALA

In 2022, Guatemala's total exports reached US$15,684.3 million, representing a 15.2% increase compared to the previous year.

According to the report from the Directorate of Policy and Economic Analysis of the Ministry of Economy, the country's main export products are clothing items with US$1,846.62 million (11.77%), commercial fats and oils with US$1,182 million (7.54%), coffee with US$1,112.73 million (7.09%), bananas with US$942.01 million, and sugar with US$796.67 million (5.08%).

Additionally, iron and steel amount to US$660.94 million (4.21%), plastic materials and their manufacturers to US$630.32 million (4.02%), alcoholic beverages to US$451.6 million (2.88%), textile materials to US$411.51 million (2.62%), and cardamom to US$410.89 million (2.62%).
